Jumper with crocheted sleeves from 1940s pattern, late March projects

Hello my dear friends! I have this post so late, please forgive me for that. In March I've finished this gorgeous jumper from 1940s knitting pattern. I love the sleeves because they are crocheted and also love the detail of having a bow collar. It is supposed to wear with shoulder pads for a more square look fit. I made this for the lovely lady from Norway, my sweet dear Rakel Teresa Donato. She is a cheerful and wonderful person that you can meet on facebook.

I also sent to sweet Caroline from France, this 1940s bonnet, that some of you already know the pattern from this post. I sent it together with my favourite lacy gloves, knitted in soft wool.

My wonderful friends, my life is going through a lot of changes and hopefully soon I will share with you some of them. Some are good but all are very challenging for sure. I need all your good thoughts and prayers now! Thank you so much to keep in touch with me, you are priceless!

See you till next projects!
Até aos próximos projetos!

    1. Hello my sweet dear friend, and my inspiring diva too! I love the jumper too, but I wish it needs the shoulder pads for the perfect look. I couldn't find black shoulder pads here where I live, otherwise I would had bought it for it. The turban is very simple, is a knit piece longer than usual and is rolled in a special manner. I should knit you one! But this one is a wool blended with acrylic, and you are allergic to wool, right?

I'm so super glad you visit my blog. You made my day! ;o) *happy*

      Love from Beta x

    2. Dear miss Beta,

The shoulders look fine to me, you are enormously gifted and talented! I love your work.

I am not allergic to wool and I would be so proud to wear one of your beautiful creations!

Somehow my read feed did not made your blog show up (not only yours by the way) and recently I had a clean up and added all the wonderful blogs, including yours, again and luckily it works!

    1. Hello dear Kate! Yes, I agree with you, I loved the mixed knit/crochet. It was very interesting combination, and I loved the sleeves. The original pattern was all in one color, but Teresa fancied in green and black. The crochet terms in some vintage patterns are not in use anymore and I had to do some research about it before I began this jumper. I don't have much knowledge in crochet and it was rather nice to learn a bit more ;-)

    2. Wow, I am even more impressed now I know that about the crochet. My friend is having a go at teaching me to crochet tonight so I am very excited about that!
